PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
2 cake layers (1 box white cake mix)
1 lg. can strawberry or cherry pie filling
2 (6 oz.) pkgs. frozen coconut
1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained
1 lg. can fruit cocktail, drained
2 c. nuts (opt.)
2 (4 oz.) pkgs. instant vanilla pudding
2 (8 oz.) bowls Cool Whip

Place 1 layer of cake in large punch bowl, add layers 1/2 of vanilla pudding, then 1/2 of pie filling, 1/2 of fruit cocktail, 1/2 of pineapple, 1/2 of nuts, 1/2 of coconut, then add 1 carton Cool Whip and the other cake layer. Repeat as before. Decorate top layer with cherries, nuts and coconut. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. To serve, spoon out, being sure to go beneath the first cake layer to get all ingredients.
