CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening, butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes in a large, greased and floured, tube pan.
