BEEF VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 c. onions, chopped
3 c. carrots, chopped
2 c. celery, chopped
2 c. potatoes, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, chopped
3 can clear beef broth
1/4 c. barley

Brown meat in heavy saucepan; drain. Add onions. When onions are transparent. Add carrots, celery, potatoes, stewed tomatoes and beef broth. Bring to a boil and add barley. Reduce heat to simmer, cook until vegetables are tender.
