GRANDMA'S POTATO SOUP | |
6 lg. potatoes, peeled & cubed 3 qt. of Polish sausage water 1 lg. onion, sliced thin 1/2 c. celery, chopped finely 1 c. sour cream 4 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Cook potatoes, onion, celery in the sausage water about 20 to 30 minutes. Mix the sour cream, flour, salt and pepper in a bowl. GRADUALLY add the hot sausage water to make a thin mixture. When this is thinned and smooth, pour into the soup mixture and continue to simmer 5 more minutes. |
