LEMON LAYER CAKE 
2 1/4 c. cake flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
2 eggs

Sift dry ingredients together into mixing bowl. Add Crisco, 2/3 cup milk and flavorings. Beat well for 2 minutes. Add remaining 1/3 cup milk and unbeaten eggs. Beat 2 minutes. Bake in two greased 8 inch wax paper lined cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Cool. Frost with Fluffy Frosting.
