MANHATTAN CLAM CHOWDER | |
1/4 lb. bacon or salt pork, diced and fried 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 carrots, thinly sliced 3 stalks celery, sliced 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes 1 1/2 tsp. salt 2-3 cans clams with liquid, 7 or 8 oz. each 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. thyme 2 whole peppercorns or 1/8 tsp. ground pepper 3 med. potatoes, pared and diced Put all ingredients in crock-pot. Cover and cook on Low 8-10 hours. |
