JOHN MARZETTI 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 onion, chopped fine
1 can tomato puree (16 oz.)
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 c. sharp cheese (or 1 c. Velveeta, cubed)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. broad noodles

Brown meat and onions; add seasonings, sauce and puree. Cook noodles. Mix well with meat mixture. Pour into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle top with cheese. Bake in moderate oven until heated through and cheese is golden brown.
