3 c. brown sugar
1 c. boiling water
2 egg whites, beaten very stiff
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Boil sugar and water to hard ball stage. Pour slowly over beaten egg whites, beating until stiff. Drop on waxed paper and let harden.
