1 c. flour 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c. dry cereal flakes 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. grated lemon peel (optional) 1 tsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 can peach slices drained (1 lb. 13 oz. size or equivalent) or any fruit may be used Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients except fruit. Mix at low speed until crumbly and well blended. Press half of mixture into bottom of greased 8-inch square pan. Arrange drained fruit over mixture in pan and sprinkle on remaining crumb mixture. Bake 45-50 minutes. |
