BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. oil
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. buttermilk

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Then pour oil and milk into measuring cup (but do not stir). Then pour all at once into flour, stir with fork until mixture clears side of bowl and rounds up into ball. For drop biscuits, drop dough onto cookie sheet. For rolled biscuits, smooth by kneading dough about 10 times without adding flour. Roll 1/4 inch thick; for higher biscuits roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in hot oven.
