CRAB MEAT AU GRATIN | |
1 lb. crab meat 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese 5 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 1 c. milk 1 c. chicken bouillon 1 egg, well beaten 3 tbsp. sherry 1 dash of Tabasco sauce 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper In a large skillet, make a white sauce with the butter, flour and milk. Add bouillon and egg. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add wine, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Add crab meat and pour into a 1 1/2 quart casserole or 6 ramekins. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 20 minutes, uncovered, at 350 degrees. Yield: 6. |
