GREAT OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
3 c. oats
1 c. chocolate chips or raisins (optional)

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Add other ingredients in order listed. Drop by tablespoon onto cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F approximately 10 minutes. Don't overbake. These are great for freezing. Layer between wax paper or parchment, seal in airtight container. Will keep a couple of weeks.
