LAZY DAISY OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oat meal
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

FROSTING:

1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. coconut

Pour water over oats. Cover; let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy, gradually beat in sugar. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Stir in oat mixture.

Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture; blend well. Pour batter into greased pan and floured. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.
