APPLE CAKE 
1 c. nuts, pecans or walnuts
3 c. apples
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

In food processor with steel blade, chop nuts and apples. Turn to another bowl. Again with steel blade, mix sugar, oil and eggs. Process until well mixed. Add flour, soda and salt together; mix until well incorporated. Add vanilla. Grease 10 x 12 baking pan.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (if glass 325 degrees). Bake for 50 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 tbsp. milk

Mix all together in saucepan. Bring to boil stirring. Cook only to melt sugar. Pour over cake while hot.
