SWEDISH FRUKTSOPPA 
1/4 lb. dried apples
1/4 lb. dried apricots
1/4 lb. dried peaches
1/4 lb. dried pears
1/4 lb. dried prunes
1/2 c. seedless raisins
2 1/2 qts. water
1 stick cinnamon
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. tapioca
Juice of 1/2 lemon

Soak dried fruit in 2 quarts water overnight. In the morning, add cinnamon stick and bring to the boiling point. Remove from heat and add sugar.

Stir tapioca into remaining 2 cups water. Cook over very low heat until transparent. Add to hot soup mixture with lemon juice. Soup may be served either hot or cold. Yield: 8 servings.
