WINE COOKIES 
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. wine (sweet sherry white)
1 c. oil
1 tbsp. baking powder (heaping)
1 tbsp. orange peel
1 tbsp. anise seeds
1 shot glass white rum

Mix all above well. Form strips as thick as a pencil, 6 inches long. Put both ends together to form a circle. Roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 325 degrees.
