1/4 c. horticultural iron (Green Guard fertilizer)
1 gallon hot water
2 c. light corn syrup
4 tsp. household bleach

Mix the above ingredients and use as nourishment for your fresh tree. With a saw, remove 1 inch from the tree trunk to level the base and to remove any solidified resinous material. Then crush the fibers at the cut end with hammer blows, stand the tree in a tree holder and pour in the solution. Keep the holder filled.
