1 (6-8 oz.) pkg. puffed popcorn (hulless) 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. white corn syrup 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla In saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup; bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Simmer 2 minutes; remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla. Pour mixture evenly over popcorn and mix well. Spread on cookie sheet; bake 30-60 minutes at 250 degrees. Stir twice during baking. Remove from cookie sheets immediately and cool on waxed paper. Store in air- tight container. Yields: 8 cups. |
