SALTED PEANUT CHEWS (SALTED NUT
ROLL BARS)
 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/3 c. soft butter
1 egg

Mix on low speed until crumbly. Press into buttered 9 x 13 pan. Bake 12 to 14 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove and sprinkle 3 cups miniature marshmallows on top. Return to oven until they begin to puff (1 to 2 minutes). Cool while preparing topping.

TOPPING:

2/3 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. peanut butter chips (12 oz.)

In saucepan, heat until mixture is smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add 2 cups Rice Krispies and 2 cups salted peanuts. Smooth over marshmallow and spread to cover. Chill and cut. Store covered.
