BEEF AND MACARONI CASSEROLE | |
1 (7 oz.) pkg. or 2 c. elbow macaroni 5 oz. jar sliced, dried beef, chopped 5 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. onion powder 1/8 tsp. paprika 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. American cheese, grated 1 c. soft bread crumbs Cook macaroni, melt 3 tablespoons butter, add flour and seasonings. Add milk slowly and cook 3 minutes, stir in cheese and heat until melted. Add macaroni and dried beef. Heat 5 minutes, pour into 2 1/2 quart casserole. Melt rest of butter and toss with bread crumbs. Top casserole and broil until crumbs are lightly brown. Serves 6. |
