PECAN OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. rolled oats
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. flour

TOPPING:

1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. pecans, chopped
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. evaporated milk

Pour boiling water over rolled oats; add butter and let stand until butter is melted. Stir in sugars, eggs, and dry ingredients. Place in greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. While cake is warm spread topping mixture over cake. Place under broiler until topping bubbles and is golden brown.
