HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
2 med. potatoes
3 slices bacon
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. flour
2 to 3 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. celery seeds
Dash of pepper
1/3 c. water
3 tbsp. vinegar

Boil potatoes in their jackets. Peel and slice them. Fry bacon slowly in skillet; drain on absorbent paper; crumble. Saute onion in bacon fat until golden brown. Blend in flour and seasonings.

Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in water and vinegar. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Stir potatoes with crumbled bits of bacon in carefully. Remove from heat; cover and let stand until ready to serve.
