DOUBLE CHOCOLATE JUMBO CRISPS | |
1 1/4 c. butter 1 1/2 c. white sugar 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. water 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 1/2 tsp. baking soda 6 tbsp. cocoa 3 c. rolled oats Cream butter and vanilla; add sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy. Add the egg and beat vigorously. Blend next four ingredients; add alternately with water to creamed mixture, beating after each addition. Add oats gradually, then the chocolate chips, mixing until well blended. Drop the mixture by tablespoonfuls about 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove to cooling racks. Chilling the dough a few hours or overnight before baking the cookies improves their flavor. |
