ONE STEP POUND CAKE | |
2 1/2 c. flour, unsifted, unbleached 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. lemon rind, freshly grated 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. butter, softened 8 oz. sour cream 3 lg. eggs, room temperature Combine all ingredients in large mixer bowl. Blend at low speed. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed and pour into greased and floured 12 cup bundt pan or tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 - 70 minutes until top springs back when touched lightly in center. Cool cake upright in pan 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
