OLD FASHIONED CREAM PIE 
4 level tbsp. flour or cornstarch
1 c. sugar, white or brown
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Dash of salt
1 pt. rich cream

Mix flour and sugar thoroughly. Add nutmeg and salt and mix. Then add cream. Pour into unbaked pie shell; dot with bits of butter and bake in moderate or low oven (300 degrees) until filling thickens and is a nice brown. Stir filling with fork several times while baking to prevent settling.
