GREAT BEER BREAD 
3 c. self-rising flour (recipe follows)
2 tbsp. sugar
1 (12 oz.) can good quality beer (not light)
7 tbsp. butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, sugar, and beer and mix thoroughly in a bowl (becomes foamy). Pour into a well-buttered 9x5 inch loaf pan. Spoon half of melted butter over top of loaf. Bake 20 minutes. Spoon or brush remaining butter over loaf. Bake an additional 25 minutes. Makes 1 very large loaf or 2 small ones.

SELF-RISING FLOUR:

6 c. flour
3 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt

Sift together and store in airtight container.
