CHICKEN FRIED STEAK 
1 lb. round steak (1/2 inch thick)
1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. oil
1 med. onion, sliced
1/4 c. water

Cut meat in 4 pieces. Coat with flour, salt, and pepper. Then dip in beaten egg, then in flour. Save the rest of the flour. Heat oil in skillet. Brown meat on both sides. Add onion and water; cover and simmer 1 hour. Drain excess fat to make gravy. Remove steak from skillet; add 1/4 cup flour and milk; stir until thick. Serve over meat.
