BROCCOLI CASSEROLE 
6 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. flour
1 pt. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. sharp cheese, grated
6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1 c. fresh sliced mushrooms
1/8 lb. slivered almonds
2 pkg. frozen broccoli or 1 lg. bunch fresh, chopped

Make white sauce, melt butter and add flour to make a paste. Add milk slowly stirring over medium heat until thick. Add salt, add cheese, add bacon, mushrooms and almonds. Mix well. Drain broccoli (if frozen used), stir into mixture. Pour into buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
