ORANGE 'N APPLE PIE
9 inch pie dish
1/2 pt. fresh orange juice
1/2 c. honey or sugar
6 oranges and equal amount of sliced apples from #10 can
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
2 to 3 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
2 to 3 tbsp. cornstarch
20 oz. of bread flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 egg wash
1/2 lb. butter or Crisco

Peel and section the oranges, taking seeds out, reserve. Put orange juice in saucepan, add honey or sugar, cinnamon and salt. Bring to a boil. Add cornstarch to thicken. Put on ice to cool. Prepare the pie crust, with flour, baking powder and shortening. Use eggs instead of water. Combine with the thickened orange juice, oranges and apples.

Pour mixture in pie dish, covering with remaining dough. Brush with egg wash. Place a small hole in middle. Bake as you would an apple pie. When pie is cold, more delicious.
