MICROWAVE CARAMEL POPCORN 
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. white corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 qts. popped popcorn

Combine everything except soda and popcorn in a 1 1/2 to 2-quart bowl. In microwave bring to a boil, then cook on full power for 2 minutes. Remove and stir in soda.

Put corn in a brown grocery bag and pour caramel over the corn. Stir and close bag and shake. Cook for 1 1/2 minutes on high. Shake and stir. Cook another 1 1/2 minutes. Pour onto pan or waxed paper to cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
