GRILLED MARINATED FLANK STEAK 
1 1/2 c. beer
4 scallions, minced
1/3 c. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. light brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
Pinch of ground ginger
1 1/2 to 1 3/4 lb. flank steak

In large glass bowl, combine all ingredients except steak. Mix well. Add steak, coating it well with marinade. Cover bowl. Refrigerate steak in marinade overnight or up to 3 days (the longer, the spicier), turning occasionally.

Grill steak on barbecue 5 minutes on each side. Cut in thin slices across grain. Serves 4-6.
