WHOLE WHEAT BREAD | |
1 c. white whole wheat flour 1 c. bread flour 1 c. whole wheat flour 3 tbsp. butter 1 pkg. dry yeast 1/4 c. warm water 2 eggs, slightly beaten 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt Place flours in a bowl and add sugar and salt. Cut in butter and mix well. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to the flour mixture, add eggs and enough water to make a ball, mixing well. Turn onto a floured board and knead for 7 to 10 minutes so it is smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl and let rise until double in size. Punch down and knead until smooth. Shape into loaf or rolls and place in greased pans, let rise until double. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until browned. Makes 1 loaf. May use food processor for mixing the ingredients together. |
