BUTTERFINGER COOKIES 
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (1 1/2 oz.) Butterfinger candy bar, cut into pieces

Cream together shortening and sugar; add beaten egg. Sift together flour, soda, and salt and add. Mix in cut up Butterfinger candy bar. Roll into balls the size of walnuts and bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Yield: 3 to 4 dozen cookies.
