MOM'S RICE PILAF 
1 c. uncooked long grain rice
1 c. fideo or vermicelli (break into sm. pieces before measuring)
1 cube butter
3 c. boiling broth or water (bouillon cubes make an excellent broth)

Melt butter in skillet. Add fideo or vermicelli. Brown. Add rice and broth, stir until thoroughly mixed. Cover with a tight lid and simmer without stirring until moisture is absorbed - about 20-25 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Serves 4-6.
