COCONUT LAYER CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 c. milk
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. coconut

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla. Makes 3 layers. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Frost layers and cake with coconut filling and frosting.
