GRAHAM CRACKER BARS 
2 sticks butter (1 stick not so rich)
1 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. coconut
1 c. graham cracker crumbs

Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil. Cook 1 minute then add rest of ingredients. Remove from heat. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Line with whole graham crackers. Pour the above filling over crackers and spread evenly. Top with another layer of whole graham crackers and spread with icing.

ICING:

3/4 stick melted butter
2 c. confectioners sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. milk

Add more milk or sugar to get icing ready to spread. Refrigerate for several hours to allow crackers to soften slightly, then cut in blocks.
