WHOLE WHEAT CRANBERRY BRAN BREAD 
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. All-Bran or crushed bran cereal with raisins
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cranberries, chopped
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. melted butter or vegetable oil

Combine flours, cereal, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and nuts. Combine cranberries and granulated sugar, then add egg, milk, orange juice and butter. Stir this into flour mixture all at once but only until mixed. Pour into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 60 to 70 minutes or until firm in center. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then remove to rack and cool on long sides before slicing. Freezes well. Yields: 1 loaf.

NOTE: 1/2 cup cranberry-orange relish can be substituted for sugared cranberries.
