EASTER PASKA 
5 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. milk, scalded
1 c. melted shortening
2 pkgs. active dry yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water

Sift dry ingredients. Sprinkle yeast into warm water and let stand 5 minutes. Combine melted shortening and scalded milk and cool. IN large bowl, add 1 cup flour mixture to cooled milk and shortening; add yeast mixture and half of beaten eggs. Beat well. Stir in another cup of flour and rest of beaten eggs; beat again. Add remaining flour, knead until smooth. Add more flour if needed. Place in large bowl, which has been sprayed with Pam. Turn dough to coat. Cover and let rise until double in size. Punch down. Knead and form. Brush with beaten egg and let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
