SINFULLY RICH AND GOOEY BARS 
1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk, divided
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1 (18 oz.) box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

In top of double boiler, stir together 1/3 cup of evaporated milk and caramels. Cook over hot water, stirring often, until mixture is smooth; set aside.

Stir together cake mix, butter, remaining milk and nuts. Press half of dough into bottom of greased and floured 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake at 350 degree oven for six minutes.

Sprinkle chocolate pieces on baked dough and top with melted caramel mixture. Crumble remaining dough over top. Return to oven and continue baking 14-18 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. Makes about two dozen.
