SCALLOPED HAM SUPPER | |
3 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 1/2 c. milk 4 oz. grated cheddar cheese 1 pkg. frozen peas or canned peas 1 1/2 c. thinly sliced onion (parboiled 5 minutes) 1 1/2 c. cubed, cooked ham 12 saltine crackers 2 tbsp. parsley Melt butter, blend in flour, paprika and pepper. Slowly blend in milk, bring to boil, stir constantly. Turn off heat, stir in cheese. In a lightly greased 2 quart casserole, layer peas, onion, ham, crackers and sauce. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until bubbly. 4 to 6 servings. |
