SOUR CREAM CARAMEL CAKE 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sour cream
1 egg, unbeaten
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat together the sugar, sour cream and eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients and vanilla. Bake in greased layer cake pans in 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 c. sour cream
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil until soft ball stage. Remove from fire; add vanilla and beat until of spreading consistency. Spread on cooled cake.
