STRAWBERRY DIVINITY 
2 egg whites, room temperature
1 pkg. strawberry-flavored gelatin
3 c. sugar
3/4 c. white corn syrup
3/4 c. hot water
Nuts or coconut (if desired)

Beat egg whites until stiff, slowly add dry strawberry gelatin and beat until gelatin is dissolved. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and hot water; boil to 252 degrees by candy thermometer. Add syrup very slowly, beating continuously (be sure that syrup is kept hot at all times). Continue beating by hand with a large spoon until candy becomes dull. Add nuts or coconut; drop on greased cookie sheet.
