GRAMA MASON'S APPLE PIE 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. lard
2 egg yolks
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3 to 5 tbsp. ice cold water
6-8 lg. apples, peeled and sliced
Sugar, to own taste
Cinnamon - as much as you like
Butter

Cut lard into flour and salt mixture with a pastry blender until crumbs are coarse (set aside).

Beat egg yolks and sugar slightly, add lemon juice to ice water; blend into egg mixture - add liquid a very little at a time, mixing quickly and evenly through flour until the dough just holds into a ball. Roll out - add cut apples, cinnamon and sugar - dot with butter, then add top crust. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Make slits in crust top.
