HEARTY LENTIL SOUP 
1 pkg. lentils (rinsed)
1 good soup bone (1 lb. stew meat), browned in butter
1 lg. carrot, diced
1 lg. onion, diced
2 stalks celery, diced

Add all ingredients to soup pot. Add water almost up to the top of the pot. 1 tbsp. instant beef bouillon 1 tsp. seasoning salt

Add to other ingredients. Let simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Add cut up tomatoes and 1 tablespoon (heaping) brown sugar. Let simmer 30 additional minutes.
