COOKIES: 2 sticks butter 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 c. chopped pecans 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten 2 c. plain flour Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and flour. Blend well. Roll into balls and roll in chopped pecans. Put on ungreased cookie sheets and press fingertip in middle. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. While hot, press again with finger and bake 10 more minutes. Cool. Fill depressions with icing. ICING: 3/4 stick butter 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 box confectioners' sugar 1/3 c. or less cream Cream above ingredients. Beat until smooth. Divide icing into 2 bowls. Tint one bowl red and one bowl green. Fill in depression on cooled cookies. |
