SWEET PICKLES 
1 qt. vinegar
4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
1 gallon cucumbers, sliced
2 tbsp. mixed spices

Combine vinegar, sugar, salt and spices and bring to boil. Add cucumbers, heat until cucumbers are hot through or turn color, not more than 5 minutes.

Place in sterilized jars and seal. Store in refrigerator or process jars for 10 minutes in a boiling water bath canner. NOTE: These pickles are sweet but not syrupy sweet. Old time recipe.

I would wait 3 weeks or more for the pickles to develop some flavor!
