BANANA NUT BREAD 
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. bananas
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Add bananas and nuts. Mix just until incorporated. Pour into well greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on rack.
