FESTIVE FUDGE BLOSSOMS 
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 box (18.25 oz.) chocolate fudge cake mix
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. water
3/4 to 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
48 chocolate star candies

Preheat oven to 350 cut butter into cake mix in large bowl until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg and water until well blended.

Shape dough into 1/2 inch balls, roll in nuts, press in dough. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake cookies 2 minutes or until puffed and nearly set. Place chocolate star in center of each cookie, bake 1 minute more.

Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. remove cookies from baking sheets to wire rack.

4 Dozen Cookies.
