PECAN TORTE 
4 c. corn flakes, crumbed or 1 c. crumbs
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. fine chopped pecans
5 egg whites
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine crumbed cornflakes, baking powder and pecans in small bowl. Set aside. Beat egg whites in large bowl until foamy; gradually add sugar while beating and beat until stiff and glossy. Fold crumb mixture and vanilla into egg whites; pour into ungreased 9 inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees in preheated oven or until sides start to pull away from pan.
