JUICY COCONUT CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour

Mix all ingredients well. Pour into cake pans. Make 2 or 3 layers. Bake 350 degrees until done.

FILLING:

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
Pinch baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
1 fresh coconut, grated

Heat all ingredients to boiling for just a minute or two. Punch holes in cake layers and pour coconut mixture between each layer.
